DEVELOP REGIONAL HEALTH POLICY BRIEF

The East African Health Research Commission (EAHRC) is an Institution of the East African Community (EAC) established by the 5th Extra-Ordinary Summit of the EAC Heads of State on 18th June 2007. The EAHRC has been established as a mechanism for making available to the community, advice upon all matters of health and health related research and findings necessary for knowledge generation, technological development, policy formulations, practices and related matters. The Commission is the principal advisory institution to the EAC on all matters related to health Research and Development (R&D).
In line with its’ Protocol, the EAHRC has launched two journals: the East African Health Research Journal (EAHRJ) and the East Africa Science (EASci) Journal. After nine (9) years of the inaugural launch of the EAHRJ first issue in 2017 and six (6) years of the inaugural launch of the EASci first issue in 2019, EAHRC would like to conduct a literature review on all published articles both in EAHRJ and EASci, and unpublished and grey literature on health in the East African Region to develop one regional policy brief on a key regional, health issue that will be identified through the literature review.
OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSULTANCY. The objective of the consultancy is to develop one (1) policy brief on a priority health area within the East African Region through the literature review of all the articles which were published in the EAHRJ and EASci during the last nine (9) years, from 2017 to 2025; other published sources and grey literature on the EA Community health systems.
The East African Health Research Commission invites eligible consultants to send their proposal for A consultancy service to develop regional health policy brief to the Commission.
Interested consultants, who must be from the East African Community, must provide all relevant information indicating their qualification to provide the Services including the profiles and the resumes of the individuals ‘experiences, technical and academic qualifications.
