The East African Community (EAC) has received a grant from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the EAC Capacity Building and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under the contract to recruit a qualified professional as an individual consultant, for the provision of Technical Assistance to the Agriculture and Food Security Department.
The objectives of this consultancy are to assist the EAC Secretariat to conduct a stock-taking study on existing aflatoxin diagnostic capacities and technologies to inform criteria for selection and ranking of the priority OSBPs to be supported and a harmonized testing/service fee scheme to be applied.
The East African Community (EAC), now invites eligible Individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Individual consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochur2es, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.). Eligibility criteria and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants”, October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org
