The Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) is a specialized institution of the East African Community established under the Protocol for the Sustainable Development of Lake Victoria Basin 2003, which is anchored on Article 114 of the Treaty for the Establishment of East African Community. The Commission’s mandate includes coordination of state and non-state actors towards the sustainable management and development of Lake Victoria Basin.

The East African Community Partner States have allocated financing for Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) to complete the construction and furnishing of its Headquarters in Kisumu, Kenya.

LVBC now invites interested and eligible bidders to submit their bids for the Tender for proposed works, supply and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment, and furnishing of the Office Block for the LVBC Headquarters, Phase III as detailed in the tender document.

• Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit 
  Date and Time: 9^th July 2025 at 10.00 a.m. local time.
  Location: LVBC Headquarters project site on Nkrumah Road, Kisumu, Kenya.
  
  
• Bid Submission Deadline: 
  7^th August 2025 at 11.00 a.m. local time.
  
  
• Bid Opening Date: 
  7^th August 2025 at 11.15 a.m. local time. Bidders or their authorized representatives may attend.
  
  
• Bid Security
  An Irrevocable Bank Guarantee of US $19,000 from a reputable bank.

Sealed Bids must be addressed and delivered to the address as below and indicate “TENDER FOR PROPOSED WORKS, SUPPLY & INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, AND FURNISHING OF OFFICE BLOCK FOR LAKE VICTORIA BASIN COMMISSION HEADQUARTERS, PHASE III: LVBC/WKS/24-25/01” and delivered to the Tender Box located at the LVBC offices by the bid submission deadline date.

Telegraphic, Fax, E-mail and other electronic submissions will not be accepted. No liability will be acceptable for loss or late delivery and late submissions will be rejected.
