SUBJECT OF PROCUREMENT: SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF THE NEW COURT RECORDING SYSTEM OF THE EAST AFRICAN COURT OF JUSTICE.

1. The East African Community (EAC) is the regional intergovernmental organisation comprised of the Republic of Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of South Sudan and the Federal Republic of Somalia. The Treaty for Establishment of the East African Community was signed on 30^th November 1999 and entered into force on 7^th July 2000.

2. The EAC’s legal and institutional frameworks are based on the EAC Treaty. There are there three organs EAC headquartered in Arusha Tanzania vis The East African Community Secretariat, the East African Legislative Assembly Acts, and the various Protocols; the institutional framework consists of the Executive, Legislative and East African Court of Justice.

3. The East African Court of Justice (EACJ) is the Judicial Arm of the Community, charged with the which shall ensure the adherence to law in the interpretation and application of and compliance with this Treaty.

4. The EACJ has been allocated funds to be used for the ACQUISITION, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF THE NEW COURT RECORDING SYSTEM OF THE EAST AFRICAN COURT OF JUSTICE.

5. EAC invites your sealed bid clearly mentioned- SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF THE NEW COURT RECORDING SYSTEM OF THE EAST AFRICAN COURT OF JUSTICE.

6. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Tender and is open to all eligible bidders.

7. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours at the address below on or before 17^th May, 2024 at 00 am East Africa time.

8. The bidding will be conducted by submission through the EAC Electronic Procurement System. Interested bidders will be required to register and submit their bids through the EAC eprocurement system at https://eacprocurement.eac.int/. The system will reject any late bids. Bids will be publicly opened on the EAC eprocurement system. Bids will be addressed to:
